LBMC Consulting was established by Mr Bonang Moletsane (Managing Director) in 2006. The company has been relatively unhindered by most of the difficulties presented by black construction companies and has exceptional economic potential. Its core strengths are:
1. Managerial skills and experience
The MD has had very extensive professional experience. Employed with ESKOM for more than a decade in a variety of senior management roles in communication, research and planning, he was appointed as Electrical Planning Manager responsible for the electrification of towns in four provinces and oversaw an annual capital budget in access of R171 million. The figures and responsibility speak for themselves.
2. Managerial qualifications
The MD holds tertiary level qualifications in Education, Marketing Management and Engineering Business Management.
3. Experience in property construction and project management
The consultancy has had years of property development experience on projects, as a subcontractor or developer. Projects include the construction of a piggery for the Department of Agriculture in Limpopo, the revamping of seven computer laboratories and the construction of five high-end houses and many other similar projects. References and additional information are available on request.
4. Understanding of local conditions in South Africa
All the consultancy’s staff have an intimate knowledge and understanding of local conditions, and of the unique problems and challenges in the construction and project management industry.
5. Membership of professional bodies in the construction industry
LBMC is registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) with 7CEPE and 7GBPE classes of construction.
6. Technical skills and staffing
The company employs experienced and professional engineers and project managers. Of the five key staff, two are about to qualify as Building Science Engineer and Quantity Surveyor respectively. In addition, a substantial database of previously assessed subcontractors is available for the company’s use.
7. Commitment to Black Economic Empowerment and staff training
LBMC Consulting is classified as a SMME and is 100% black owned. It is committed to promoting affirmative action and black economic empowerment goals. This will be done by sponsoring and training young professionals and giving them a meaningful stake in the company.
